PDFCalc, a viewer and calculator for probability density functions

The NAADSM Development Team recently released PDFCalc, a stand-alone application that allows users to create, edit, and visualize probability density functions, examine their characteristics (their means, quartiles, and other properties), and easily generate random variates from these functions for potential use in other scripts or applications. All of the probability density functions supported by NAADSM are included in PDFCalc. PDFCalc is available from http://www.naadsm.org/pdfcalc.

PDFCalc is the first of what we expect to be a collection of programs, scripts, and utilities that may be useful to users of NAADSM or of other models or programs. Please follow the link in the main menu called Other applications, scripts, and utilities to view the complete collection, and please check back periodically to see if any new items have been added.

A new version of PDFCalc is now available at http://www.naadsm.org/pdfcalc. Version 1.1.0 introduces the capability to generate empirical histogram probability density functions from data. These histogram functions can then be used in NAADSM or related applications.

Please follow the link in the main menu called Other applications, scripts, and utilities to access PDFCacl, as well as a variety of other tools for working with NAADSM or other models.
