Problems installing NAADSM

NAADSM 3.1
I am trying to install NAADSM on a new PC. I get this error for several flies (about 10 times): Error opening file for writing: C:\Program Files\NAADSM 3.1.23\msvcrt.dll Click Abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again, or Ignore to skip this file. I chose to ignore the errors, but at the end of the installation, I could not open the application. Does anyone know the cause of this problem?

This problem almost certainly has to do with your permissions and privileges on your computer. By default, NAADSM is installed in the folder C:\Program Files\NAADSM x.x.x, where "x.x.x" indicates the version that you are attempting to install. For this to be successful, you must have "write" permission to C:\Program Files. The error message you mentioned indicated that you don't have this permission. If your organization restricts you from having "write" permission to this folder, you have two options: 1) Consult your organization's technical support personnel to set the required folder permissions or to have NAADSM installed on your computer for you. 2) Try changing the installation folder from C:\Program Files to some other folder that you do have "write" permission for. For example, you can probably install NAADSM to My Documents without problems. (Note that this solution may circumvent your organization's intended computer security policies, so it might be best to check with your local IT support personnel before attempting it.)
