PDFCalc is a stand-alone application that allows users to create, edit, and visualize probability density functions, examine their characteristics (their means, quartiles, and other properties), and easily generate random variates from these functions for potential use in other scripts or applications. All of the probability density functions supported by NAADSM are included in PDFCalc. PDFCalc can also be used to produce empirical histogram probability density functions from data.

Downloading and installing PDFCalc

PDFCalc is available for Microsoft Windows. An installation package can be downloaded via the link below. Once you have saved the installation package to your computer, double-click its icon to perform the installation. Follow the on-screen prompts if you wish to change any of the default installation options.

Using PDFCalc

A user's guide for PDFCalc is currently under development. In the mean time, users are referred to chapters 3 and 6 and appendix D of the User's Guide for NAADSM 3.0.

This section is intended for programmers and advanced users who wish to review or modify the PDFCalc source code, or to build the application from source code.

PDFCalc is open source software and is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

PDFCalc is written in Delphi Version 7, Professional Edition. While it may be possible to compile the interface with other versions of Delphi, no others have been tested.
