Courses in Epidemiologic Simulation Modeling and NAADSM Training
The NAADSM development team periodically offers training sessions for potential users of NAADSM. These courses typically cover the following topics:
- Basic principles of stochastic modeling
- Concepts of animal disease modeling
- Using the NAADSM application
- Estimating required model parameters from the scientific literature and expert opinion
- Interpreting the results of a disease simulation model
2008 Course Offerings
The NAADSM development team will offer the course "Introduction to Epidemiologic Simulation Modeling" (which includes NAADSM training) three times in 2008:
- January 14 - 18 2008 in Fort Collins, Colorado (NOTE: this course is full: it is no longer possible to register for the January 2008 course.)
- May 26 - 30, 2008 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, in conjunction with the 2008 Conference of the Canadian Association of Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (CAVEPM) (NOTE: this course is full: it is no longer possible to register for the May 2008 course.)
- August 4 - 8, 2008 in Fort Collins, Colorado (NOTE: this course is currently full: please contact us to inquire about the waiting list.)
2009 Course Offerings
The NAADSM development team will offer the course "Introduction to Epidemiologic Simulation Modeling" (which includes NAADSM training) in 2009. We currently plan to offer the course only once in the US in 2009: please sign up early!
